Community Schools Rental Assistance Program (CSRAP)

How the monthly application process works:

The application opens on the first day of each month.
We accept the first 40 applications each month.
Once we receive 40 applications, the application closes for that month.
The application reopens on the first day of the next month.
This monthly cycle will continue until all program funds have been disbursed.
We encourage interested households to apply early in the month, since spots fill quickly. Thank you for your interest. We look forward to serving you.

The Community Schools Rental Assistance Program (CSRAP) is a statewide Maryland initiative that provides emergency financial assistance to families with children enrolled in designated community schools who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

This program is designed to help families stay housed or secure new, stable housing by covering critical housing costs such as rent arrears, security deposits, or future rent payments. CSRAP serves as a vital safety net for students and families navigating housing instability by helping them avoid eviction, stabilize their living situation, and remain engaged in their school communities.

Whether a family is at risk of eviction, currently homeless, or struggling to afford a new rental unit, CSRAP exists to bridge the gap and ensure that children in community schools have a safe place to call home.
